GOOD NEWS
The Creator
The Bible says:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1
Every beginning needs to begin with God. For everything began with Him. And everything continues to begin with Him.
He is not limited by circumstances. He can change human hearts, and anything else.
You may feel you are closed in…
But He can and will do a new thing.
We may see no way out right now but God can create new roads for us to travel.
We may feel we want to give up
But God can do a new thing at any time, and in any place.
Remember He is the Creator. He is not limited to circumstances or options that seem logical to you.
He told Isaiah:
My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your
ways My ways.
Isaiah 55:8
Believe in Him no matter what you face.

LOVE
THE BIBLE SAYS:
Love suffers long, and is kind,
Love envieth not,
Love vaunted not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in inquity , but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
The question is:
What happened to LOVE???

GOOD NEWS
FAITH
THE BIBLE SAYS:
What saith the scripture, Faith without works is dead.
James 2:26
Since you have first consulted God’s Word and know that God has promised to do what you need, and since you prayed with faith, asking Him to do the thing which His promises proves it is His will to do, then arise and act your faith.
Act on God’s Word.
Act on His promises
Begin to do the thing, by faith that you could not do before you prayed.
If symptoms permit, ignore them and keep your attention on God’s promises.
GIVE IT TO GOD
When You Can No Longer Handle It Yourself.

REST
THE BIBLE SAYS:
Those who enter God’s rest, cease from their labors as God did from his. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest.
Hebrews 4: 10-11
We too miss the rests in our lives.
We just keep going…keep pushing.
Too often we work in overload in our own strength.
God’s desires for us is to be quiet and still sometimes.
As we are entering this new year of 2017
The beautiful snow and ice has caused us to be quiet and still. Slow down and rest.
By God’s grace I pray we have learned something.
What has your response been to these new opportunities to rest?
This year I want to say yes to compassion and yes to all the possibilities God offers.
Will you join me?

STAND
THE BIBLE SAYS:
Finally, my Brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:10-11
What do you do when you have done all you can?
STAND
STAND ON HIS WORD
STAND ON THE PROMISES OF GOD
TRUST IN HIM
FOR WHEN YOU PUT YOUR TRUST IN HIM
YOU ARE MAKING DEPOSITS IN HEAVEN.
HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood , but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
EPHESIANS 6:12-13
GOD HAS GIVEN US THE GEAR
EPHESIANS 6: 14-18

Something or somebody will be affected.
God has called all of us to be a part of a community.
The song writer penned.

GOOD NEWS
RECONCILIATION
THE BIBLE SAYS:
And Jacob said, Nay , I pray thee, if now I have found Grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou was pleased with me.
Take , I pray thee, my blessing that is bought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
Genesis 32:10-11
This story is the essence of Biblical reconciliation…..turning toward and not away from one another.
In fact, this is what God did through his son Jesus Christ.
God turned toward us and reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19
Let us use our gift of reconciliation .
It’s better to extend the olive branch of
Peace than to hold a grudge.
