The Source of Love
The Bible says:
Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might Iive through him.
I John 4:7-9
We cannot be selective in whom we love.
The Bible says we must love each other as well as God.
We know there are difficult situations in which we must love, especially if we want others to recognize us as being of God.
This is demonstrated in four basic ways.
Love for our neighbors
Love for fellow believers
Love for our families
Love for our enemies.
We want to love God but want to reserve the right to reject certain brothers and sisters.
Love doesn’t work that way.
I encourage you today”Love one another”

The benefits of the Lord
The Bible says:
BLESS THE LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thou inquities, who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemed thy life from destruction; who crowned thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.
Psalm 103: 1-4
As we reflect on our lives, we have many causes for celebration.
Forgiveness of sin
Supernatural healing
Redemption from destruction and
The execution of the righteous mercy of God.
God has blessed us….in spite of ourselves
God has blessedv us…when we didn’t deserve to be blessed
God has blessed us so much…sometimes we take the blessings for granted.
Instead of praising God for what he’s done for us, we get angry because he didn’t do what we wanted him to do.
We need to practice a phrase from David’s psalm- ” Bless the Lord”
Remember what He has done and what He’s going to do.
Give Him PRAISE!

The boldness of Peter & John
The Bible says:
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled ; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:13
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit we can discern the role that God wants us to play in his kingdom.
Our actions will coincide with what we say we believe.
We will function and speak with the wisdom that the Spirit gives us.
We will have the ability to set priorities and to be productive in whatever we are set apart to do.
If God could use Peter & John two fishermen; he can use you!

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eyes seeth thee.
Job 42:5
Job had wrestled with God emotionally and spiritually. As a result of Job’s persistence in dealing with his situation, he stood face to face with God!
He knew God through experience.
When you encounter God for yourself and you go through thr storms of life,
The love of God is so strong that even when you feel utterly alone abandoned by friends and love ones; He will come to you like He did Job.

Zephaniah 3:16-17
The Bible promises that God’s nearness and love are constant.
We can sense His presence through any blessing that the day may bring.
Even on days when nothing helps us sense God’s love, we know He is there.
Knowing this we can face any challenge and keep going!

A reconciling ministry
The Bible says:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.: old things are passed away: behold all things are become new.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not inputting their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19
God brought us back to Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
Thanks be to God he doesn’t hold our sins against us.
Even so as he has reconciled us .
Be reconciled one to another.
Let us not hold things against other.

Jesus reveals the Father
The Bible says:
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burdens are light.
Matthew 11:28-30
A preacher told me a long time ago “when God gives you an assignment, it will not be too hard for you.” He will give you the strength you need for the task.
Maybe today you need to consider what yoke you are carrying.
Your’s or His?
If we take His yoke….and learn more about Him
We will find rest for our souls.
His burdens are Light!

Longing for the sanctuary
The Bible says:
Behold , O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand .I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusted in thee.
Psalm 84: 9-12
Who would not want to trust God?
He has all the “benefits”
We have Sunshine on a Cloudy Day
We have a Shield of Protection from the enemy
He gives us Grace when the Labors Increase
He gives us Glory as we give Him Glory
No good thing will he withhold from us who walk upright.
We are Blessed!

The true center of Christian life
The Bible says:
In the which we also walked some time , when he lived in them. But now he also put off all these, anger, rap, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communications out of your mouth, lie not one to another, seeking you have put off the old man with his deeds :
And have put on the new man, which is renewed and knowledge after the image of him that created him
Colossians 3:7-10
When we were without Christ, we did what we wanted to do….when we wanted to do it. But now that we are in Christ, we are”challenged to change”.
Things we use to do…we don’t desire to do them any longer.
We put off those things that the Bible says that make us children of disobedience.
Glory to God!
