Daily Devotion-April 21 2015

Good Tuesday Morning!
The Bible says:
We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9
We all experience some of these conditions-we are crushed, persecuted, or hard pressed. But every day we turn to God through prayer and ask God to give us the grace we need for today. By turning to God, we can find victory in Jesus Christ.

Daily Devotion – April 20 2015

Good Monday Morning!
The Bible says:
If a man say, I love God, and hated his brother, he is a liar; for he the loveth not his his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen.
1 John 4:20
Since the Scriptures are clear on this matter we know that there are difficult situations in which we must love, especially if we want others to recognize us as being of God.This is demonstrated in four basic ways- love for our neighbors, love for our fellow believers, love for families, and love for our enemies.
To often we want to love God but still want to reserve the right to reject certain brothers and sisters. Love doesn’t work that way , for he who loveth God must love his brother also.1 John 4:21.
I encourage you to love God who is infinitely deserving, and even our enemies, who may be undeserving.

Good Sunday Morning!
The Bible says:
Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God.
Matthew 5:9
The Beautitudes declare that God is at work among common ordinary people in the ebb & flow of their lives.
In these “Beautiful Sayings” Jesus congratulates, encourages and salutes the people who are suffering amidst the battles of life, for he sees the possibilities of triumph growing out of their stormy lives. The term blessed is his gracious way of saying “How Happy”.!
The Beatitudes establish that Christ is the bearer of a new covenant of God’s love for his people
Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but on the contrary, repay with a blessing.it is for this that you were called- that you might inherit a blessing.
1Peter 3:9 (NRSV)
And that’s the gospel truth!

Good Saturday Morning!
The Bible says:
The Lord is good, and a stronghold in the day of trouble.
Nahum 1:7
Some people only know one aide of God’s dealings with the Human race but not the other. They think that He is holy, and wants to only punish us, or that He is merciful and wants to only show us kindness. He is judge and refuge.
The whole truth about God is good news! He is judge, but because of Jesus, we can go to him as our refuge.
Thank you Jesus!

Good Friday Morning!
The Bible says::
And he said, go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
1Kings 19:11-12
Sometimes during our difficulties we forget that God is always there for us and with us.When we are scared and running for our lives, we must stop and remember that God has not forsaken us but is waiting for us to acknowledge his presence.
Like Elijah sometimes he just whispers to us.
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm46:10
He will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.Hebrews 13:5

Daily Devotion-April 16 2015

Good Thursday Morning!
The Bible says:
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, “Here am I; send me””.
Isaiah 6:8
In Isaiah ‘s vision, the Lord’s glorious presence was so awesome that it couldn’t be contained inside the temple.God did permit
Isaiah to glimpse the holiness of God viewed by the celestial seraphs who protected their eyes from the radiance of God’s glory and who hid their feet in humble submission.
Isaiah responded to this with humility and a repentant spirit. In turn God sanctified, His lips with a burning coal and atoned for his guilt and sin.Only then was he commissioned and enabled to speak to Isreal.
Can we become like Isaiah ? As God was present with Isaiah, he is present with us today. And He still calls to us,”Whom shall I send?”.In our time and place in history the need is still great for those who know God to say, ” Here am I, send me!”
We must remember that God has also cleansed us- by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. And he has commissioned and equipped us by His Spirit.

Daily Devotion-April 15 2015

Good Wednesday Morning!
The Bible says:
“And he said unto them, When you pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.Thy kingdom come.Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”
Luke 11:2
When we make a commitment to Jesus Christ, God grants us a new walk and a new talk.Talking to the Lord is prayer, but prayer is mote than just saying what we feel.Making a commitment to Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, transforms the heart, and from a transformed heart comes a new desire for what we want and need.
When we pray daily, we should acknowledge God’s sovereignty. We ask the Lord to meet our basic needs because wr learn it is only through the Lord that “we live, and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28
We make a recommitment to the Lord, confessing and repenting of known and unknown sins because we are working out our soul salvation with fear and trembling.Philippians 2:12
We also ask the Lord to give us the strength to love others as we want others to love us.
We ought to tell the Lord we want to be kept by him and not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

Daily Devotion-April 14 2015

Good Tuesday Morning!
The Bible says:
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors”.
Matthew 6:12
Jesus gave his disciples a model for praying, it included forgiveness.
To the degree we forgive others, God will forgive us.We must change our heart toward our brother or sister, which leads to forgiveness.
Forgiveness means we give up our anger or resentment against another.
Do not let anger and resentment direct your thoughts.
Each of us need to look in the mirror and ask God to change our ways. Are there hurts we have not forgiven? Have we not reconciled with some people, which has driven us to act, behave and feel unchristian? Experience the joy of letting go of it.
We can be liberated from acting in ways that harm rather than heal.Forgiveness benefits the other person, but it really does more for us.
For as long as we harbor ill will toward others, we block :
Spiritual Growth
Spiritual Blessings
And our Usefulness to God.
Ask God today…to give you a loving , reconciling heart!

Daily Devotion-April 13 2015

Good Monday Morning!
The Bible says:
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.”
John 5:39-40
Jesus said that His Jewish critics had this tendency. They picked the Scriptures they liked and formed their own conclusions. They felt that they knew the answers to every question. But Jesus said they were wrong. In fact, their interpretations had blinded them from being able to see the truth. They had made “the word of God of no effect through your tradition”.
Mark 7:13
Jesus encourages all of us to remember our limits. To submit every plan and thought to God.Every assumption and tradition.Jesus even applied this to His own life, saying, “the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing”
.John 5:19
The key is to start with the Father.Submitting everything to Him. For us we need to come to Jesus.Focus on Him.Spend time in prayer.Seek to be in tune with the Spirit. Believe His Word.

Daily Devotion-April 12 2015

Good Sunday Morning!
The Bible says:
“I’ve also heard the groaning of the children of Isreal, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage. And I have remembered my covenant. Therefore, say to the Israel, “I am the Lord…..I will bring you out from all the burdens of the Egyptians. I will rescue you from their bondage. And I will redeem you with an outstretched hand and with great judgments. “
Exodus 6:5-6
The last thing God said is”I will redeem you”.Isn’t that exciting? With God it is never over unless He says it is over.
Psalm 30:19 says,”His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning”. No matter how long your trials have lasted,I am convinced that His favor is about to dawn in your life.
Hold on to God’s Word today.Believe his promises, and follow his instructions. When you do, you will see supernatural breakthroughs manifested in your life.
Don’t give up on God.No matter how dark the night has been, a new day is at hand.
Conclusion:
He will bring you out!
He will rescue you!
He will redeem you!
I declare a new season in your life in Jesus’ mighty name!
