Happy Friday!
The Bible says:

I will praise thee with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
I will worship toward thy holy temple; and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
In the day when I cried thou answered me, and strengthen me with strength in my soul.
Psalm 138:1-3
No matter what you may be going through , the battle is not yours it’s the Lord’s. So hold your head up high, cry if you need to. But open your mouth and praise the Lord .For had it not been for the Lord on your side, where would you be? That’s why I will praise Him with my whole heart.

Happy Thursday!
The Bible says:
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie, though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:1-3
Habakkuk represents us as Christians as we look at the state of the world and all the evil. We sometimes worry that God does not see us in long suffering or that he is not involved in tthe tough and painful situations.
One thing we can depend on we have this blessed assurance that “the vision is yet for an appointed time, though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come.
He also reminds us, not to be distracted or overwhelmed by the circumstances that besets us, but stand firmly on the certainty of God’s presence. God has a plan of protection and deliverance!

Happy Wednesday!
The Bible says:
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”.
In spite of your circumstances, you should trust, receive, and adopt only the Word of God for guidance. As a lamp and a light, his Word is sufficient in directing us toward himself.
Since God’s Word is powerful enough to provide illumination for us in this dark world, we can make the right choices.
Let us be so guided by the Word that we will stay on the path that leads us to eternal life and peace.

Happy Tuesday
The Bible says:
Psalm 27:1King James Version (KJV)

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
In this psalm, David addresses a situation in which he faced danger, the loss of his freedom and perhaps even death at the hands of those enemies who sought to bring him down.
How often do we find ourselves facing danger and oppression through economic, political educational and social institutions? Where can we go for salvation? Like David we can say” The lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?”
In this life we may face harm from strangers, friends, and even family, but we will not fear. We can be confident that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Let us wait patiently on the Lord and be of great courage, for our God will strengthen and protect us from harm.

Happy Monday
The Bible says:
“weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning”
Psalm 30:5
Life is filled with problems; some we create for ourselves, some our loved one’s create for us, and others which are completely beyond our control. These are ALL “trials” which TEST our faith.

Anyone can have faith in God during fair weather; BUT, the true TEST of our faith is how we respond during stormy weather, when we can’t see our hand in front of our face. Most Christians have a very weak faith, a shallow faith, a temporary faith; which when the winds of tempest arise, they quit and behave no better than the heathen.

Christ should be our example during our times of pain, mental anguish and suffering. I know the overwhelming feeling of mental anguish. There’s been times in my life when I’d wished I’d never been born. Ah, but God promised in Psalm 30:5 that weeping only endureth for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

I know what it’s like to suffer overwhelming, emotional, pain. I know what it’s like to wake up from a nightmare to a bigger nightmare, unable to do anything about the situation. There have been many times in my life, when every second seemed like an hour, and every hour like a day, and every day like a never ending eternity. At those times, the only friend I had in the world was the Bible.

I have learned during these times that we need to keep our eyes on the Lord. Do you think God is pleased by our faith only during the good times? What about one’s faith during the storms of life? A faith must be tested.

The Word of God says in Psalm 30:5, “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” There is always Light at the end of the tunnel for a Christian. God will one day wipe away all tears, and there will be no more pain (Revelation 21:4). What a day that will be! Only Jesus Christ can make everything right, when life seems so wrong.

Perhaps you feel that nothing you could ever do can make things right in your life. May I say, friend, that is why Jesus came into the world, i.e., to make things right for us, because we cannot. Jesus came to make everything right through His blood sacrifice. Thanks be to God, Jesus has paid our sin debt, to set us free from the enslavement of sin (John 8:32-36). Jesus Christ has set the believer free from the curse of the Law. Amen! This earthly life will soon be o’er and we will be on Heaven’s golden shore.

Romans 8:28

We are PROMISED in Romans 8:28 that ALL THINGS will “…work together for good…” for every born again Christian. God says in Verse 30 that he has “called” everyone whom He has predestinated. It is very important to notice in Verse 29 what God has predestinated every believer to, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son…” God never predestinates (chooses) anyone to salvation. Rather, He simply knows in advance who is going to be saved, and predestinates those believers to be conformed to Christ’s perfect image.

God had our future planned out BEFORE we were ever conceived in the womb. Jesus said in Matthew 25:34, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” What a beautiful Scripture! We can’t see the end result of our life; BUT, God can.

The future is uncharted waters. Praise Jesus, He KNOWS what our future holds, which is why we should trust God

Daily Devotion – March 08 2015

Happy Sunday
The Bible says:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly”.
John 10:10
And that they might have it more abundantly.—Better, and that they might have it abundantly. The word “more” is an insertion of the English version without any authority, and it weakens the sense. It is not that a greater is compared with a less abundance, but that the abundance of life which results through Christ’s coming is contrasted with the spiritual wants and death which He came to remove. This life is through Him given to men abundantly, overflowingly. We are reminded of the Shepherd-King’s Psalm singing of the “green pastures,” and “waters of rest,” and “prepared table,” and “overflowing cup”; and carrying all this into the region of the spiritual life we come again to the opening words of this Gospel, “And of His fulness did we all receive, and grace for grace” . . . “grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:16-17).
Thank the Lord today for abundant life! That’s why I am going to church today and get my praise on!!!!

Happy Saturday
The Bible says:
“By them the birds of the heavens have their home; They sing among the branches”.
Psalm 104:12
Many birds do their singing to either claim their territory, their partner, or sing because of their new young babies. Many just sing because God put a song in their heart.
We as Christians may be compared to such birds.Like them we are weak, defenseless, taken into snares sometimes, and sometimes wonderfully delivered; as well as given to wandering and straying. But we come to Jesus, beside the still waters of the sanctuary, where we sing the songs of Zion, the songs of electing, the songs of redeeming, the songs of calling and grace.
Maya Angelou quote:
“A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sing because it has a song.”

Daily Devotion-Mar 06 2015

Happy Friday
The Bible says:
“But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works”.Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works”.
James 2:18
Many people do a lot of talking, but little doing. There’s a lot of big talk but very few doers. They announce results in advance in a flashy way and try to make big impressions, but the results often don’t materialize.
The bible urges us to have the kind of determination and persistence that will keep us going even under pressure. To be people of faith, not just talking about what we believe but putting our faith into action. Being confident in God, and in His Word. Be Bold! Believing Him for the Victory.

Happy Thursday!
The Bible says:
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31

The key to renewal is to feed our spirits with hope in the Lord. Not just to be passive, but to wait with hope.Expect that God will….restore and renew us! Trust in God and don’t give up.

When you are going through something hard and wonder where God is…..remember” the Teacher is always quiet during a test”.

Happy Wednesday!
The Bible says:

Blessed shall thou be in the city, and blessed shall thou be in the field.”
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
Blessed shall thy be when thou cometh in, and blessed shall thou be when thou goeth out.
Deuteronomy 28:3-6
God is not a man , so he does not lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind.Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
Numbers 23:19
The blessings of the Lord is upon all who are obedient. His promises are true.
Position yourself to receive God’s Blessings.
