How Do I Meet People?

Community AME Zion Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. No matter the age or occupation, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church family. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Community AME Zion Church.

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Community A.M.E Zion Church has small bible studies held in member homes or  at the church. The size of the group can be as small as you and your class leader or as big as your whole class.  At a time, designated by your class, you can participate in the small group class study.

Children/Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers are carefully chosen and trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of Community A.M.E Zion Church is recognized for their close interaction on a national level.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Community A.M.E Zion Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women’s Group

Community A.M.E Zion Church Women’s Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups meet in agreed upon locations, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Group

Our men’s group, Brother’s In Christ,  build up, encourage, and develop men of all ages. They meet weekly for meetings and/or rehearsal.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. Pastor Joyce councils our married couples on a range of topics from Getting Married, Money, Getting Ready for Kids, Shepherding Children, Staying Married and Sex.

A mentoring ministry gives single believers a chance to meet with and help each other grow in Christ. Although they are few in number they are hardworking and help with all the aspects of the church.
